Methodology: The methodologies utilised will consist of various data collection techniques that will adhere closely to accepted research methodologies to ensure robustness of the exercise. These include: 1. classroom observations 2. videotaping of classroom practices 3. focused interviews (students, teachers and educational officers) 4. self report questionnaires on effectivess of ETeMS courses, feedback from teachers 5. schoolchildren’s perception of learning Science and Maths in English 6. data collection in the form of picture drawing or construction of mind/concept maps to elicit schoolchildren’s understanding of science and maths (have stated learning objectives been attained?)
